What a weekend!

Well I know it's been a while since I've posted anything on here. We've been kinda busy with school starting, plus camp being this last weekend. So camp was AWESOME!! Enjoyed every moment that I got to be there. Today not so much... Almost everyone I've talked to came down with a flu bug this weekend, so now we're all throwing up. At our house it's Meghan, my dad, and I who are the ones throwing up. Thankfully my mom and Parker haven't gotten it yet. I'm praying that the ones who have it REALLY bad will be better soon. Polly Roy has it the worst I think, cause she ended up at the hospital.
Other then the after affects of camp we had a good time seeing everyone from out of town.

Since I wasn't home all day yesterday I'll do Monday's Saying today.

Monday's Saying

So today was one of those days you wish you could just crawl back into bed and restart.
With my Grandma Jean being here my room is the guest room. Sooo to not disrupt my sister's sleeping with my 6 am wake up, I decided I would sleep on the couch. Which went fine on Saturday night. Last night, not so much. I woke up at 4:30 thinking I had overslept my alarm. Then again at 5:30. By 5:55 I was done, so I got up and got ready to go. Then at the end of my day when I went to go leave work, well lets just say my car had other ideas. It wouldn't start. I was soo tired and ready to go home, that I burst into tears. Crazy I know, but that's one thing that makes me emotional. I went back into work and just chilled in the AC, and my dad was able to come to my rescue a few hours later. Momma had taken Grandma to see IKEA and return some stuff, so she couldn't come save me. After a YUMMY dinner, Daddy & I went back to see what we could figure out. And of course it started right up!! I was calling my car not nice names on the back home. Bad of me I know. So tomorrow we are doing a ladies lunch for Grandma. I won't be able to be there because of work but I'll see if my mom can take pictures.
So today's saying is:
Remind yourself it's okay not to be perfect.
I have to remember this...
Hope everyone has a good week!! Tomorrow we are going on a field trip to the Cowboy's Stadium.
It will be a interesting day.

Monday's Saying

So I better write something before it its no longer Monday. :)
Hope you all had a great weekend! Week 7 of Summer Camp started today. Only 4 more weeks left, then back to a "normal" schedule. Anyway here is the saying for today.
Don't expect to see positive changes in your life, if you surround yourself with negative people.
Have a great rest of the week!!

Monday's Saying

I don't have a saying for today. But I do have a picture to post. It's of my grandparents. Looking at the picture it makes me think of all the different things my grandparents did for us kids. Like the trips to the park, library, pet shop, super market & the recycle center with grandpa. Going to work at the pre-school with grandma & my aunt Bonnie was always LOTS of fun. Grandma always had spearmint gum in her purse. As I get older I appreciate all the times they were there. They always showed they loved me. Even If I was being naughty (which was more times then not) they still loved me. I'm thankful for the relationship we have had and the influence they have had on my life.

Monday's Saying

So I know it's not really Monday anymore but I wanted to post something anyway.
Monday was a busy, fun, exciting day.
My day started off at 6:00 a.m.. Summer Camp started today and I have the early morning shift. 6:45 - 2:45, I was at the rec. center watching 24, 8-9 year olds with my 2 co-counselors. I enjoy the morning shift, even though it's WAY TO early to be waking up for me. :)
Summer Camp will be going 11 weeks so, I'll be pretty busy this summer. I have a couple trips planned while I'm busy being busy.
After work I came home then was off again to Lowe's to buy Tomato Cages for my mom.
FYI her garden is looking good. :)

The best part of my day was at 7:00 p.m. April & I had made plans to go out for a early birthday dinner to The Melting Pot. For those of you who are wondering, The Melting Pot is a REALLY good Fondue restaurant.

It was so yummy!!! I'd never been to a Fondue place before. April & Shawn had gone a couple months ago, so it was April's second time. Shawn, April & the kids are going to be gone during my birthday so, we had to do something before they left. Needless to say we had a really good time being able to talk, and not having to worry about anything. (Shawn watched all the kids so we could go out just the two of us.) It was a great way to end a busy day. :)

Tuesday is our first field trip for summer camp so we'll see how that goes. We're going to the Fort Worth Stock Yards this week. It's always a little crazy the first few weeks of camp, but we'll figure it out.

Here is the saying for this week. It's one I enjoy reading when I see it. It's something that reminds me in a fun sort of way, to wait for the "right" guy that the Lord has for me.

single
Anyway... hope everyone has a great week!! I'm off to bed since it's going to be another busy day. ;)

Monday's Saying

Before you act, listen.
Before you react, think.
Before you spend, earn.
Before you criticize, wait.
Before you pray, forgive.
Before you  quit, try.

I don't know about the rest of you but I had a good weekend. Friday was a normal day of working and sing. Saturday I worked in the morning, then in the afternoon/evening, I went to a Gaither Homecoming Concert with Shawn, April & Clark.

The songs were so uplifting and had thought provoking messages in them. One of my many favorites that night, was sung by The Isaacs.

For dinner we went to a fish restaurant in downtown Fort Worth, called Daddy Jack's. The food was really good! After dinner, we went back to Shawn & April's for Creme Brule.

Sunday we all found out that Ron Gavitt went home to be with the Lord. As each person shared a memory they had of Mr. Gavitt, it was a sad but rejoicing time. Pray for the family as they go through this rough time in their lives.

I am looking forward to this week, and seeing where the Lord takes me. I woke up this morning singing and thanking him for the day. (even though it was WAY to early to be up)

Hope everyone has a great week!
